We held our annual Bounenkai on Saturday 8th December from 5.30pm at the Aroma Restaurant, Novotel Hammersmith. The meal was an all-you-can-eat buffet for £20 (excluding drinks) and afterwards, we proceeded to Southern Belle in Fulham, for drinks and optional karaoke. Plenty of fun was had by all.

Lavender Field Day Trip

Sutton Station
We were very lucky with the weather and had a lovely day out at the Lavender Fields near Sutton. After meeting at the station and taking a bus, we walked through the countryside to a local pub and enjoyed Sunday lunch. The trip to the lavender fields was pleasant, and we enjoyed a glass or two of wine amidst the plants before returning via bus, tram and train to Victoria station. In all, 23 members attended.

We had an excellent Spanish tapas meal followed by an evening of flamenco and dancing, having met beforehand at the nearby All Bar One. It was a lively evening indeed!

Celebrate the Diamond Jubilee with the Conversation Group on Tuesday 5th June 2012! We will provide a free drink for each guest in honour of the occasion. (The buffet will be slightly reduced.)

Hanami in Kensington Gardens

Our annual Hanami cherry blossom viewing party in Kensington Gardens was from 12pm at the usual spot. Afterwards, we went to the Queen's Arms pub to finish off the evening.

Join us for a very special opportunity to listen to the Tsugaru Shamisen Master, Ichikawa Hibiki, for a powerful, moving, and soulful performance on Tuesday 6 March. The Shamisen is a traditional Japanese three-stringed instrument and this is a rare chance to hear it that you would not want to miss.
